Makoto Kanemaru

Born and raised in Yamanashi prefecture near Mt. Fuji in Japan. Brings over 30 years of chef experience. Started to learn cooking skills when he was 18 years old and trained at a traditional Japanese cuisine restaurant in Tokyo. Experienced cooking and serving for the Emperor of Japan and his royal family when he served as Executive Chef at a resort hotel in Nagano, Japan.

Now excited to share his knowledge and skill to provide this beautiful authentic Japanese cuisine and culture to many in the community in San Francisco, CA, being the 架け橋 "Bridge" between our two friendship countries, the U.S.A. and Japan!
